This is a secure site. The shopping cart and back-office security are performed by Yahoo! Store. Yahoo performs this task for approximately one in every eight stores on the Internet. The lock icon (indicating a secure site) will appear on your screen when you check out. Depending on your web browser, this lock icon may be at the bottom right side of the page or at the top of the page next to the page address.
You can verify that you are on a secure site in two ways:
1. After you click "Checkout", right-click on the checkout page that is asking for your personal information. Then click Properties at the bottom of the box that appears. You will see that the address starts with https -- the "s" at the end of http indicates that you are on a secure site.
2.
Click on "View Cart" icon at the very top of any page. Then when you click the blue "Checkout" button, you WILL see the lock icon on the page. Internet Explorer 6 shows this icon at the bottom right side of the page. The new Internet Explorer 7 shows the lock icon at the top of the page just after the web address. Netscape 8 tells you you have requested an encrypted page and then shows the lock icon at the top of the page just after the web address.

Over 8,500 nature related items are currently available. Items are arranged in "Shops" within the Nature Mall. You can locate a specific item using the
"Search" feature or by clicking on a Department name listed on the
left. When you see an item you want, click "Add to Cart".

First Time Visitors
Welcome! Shopping for nature books and other items is very easy on this secure shopping site. Simply click on a Shop listed at the top of the screen. Then click on an aisle on the left to see the individual items. Use the scroll bar to move up and down the page. To read more about an item, click "Tell Me More". When you are finished reading about an item, click the "Back" button on your web browser to return to the aisle.
To select an item for purchase, click the "Add to Cart" button. You do not need to register in order to shop.
If an item is out of stock, you will see a zero for the quantity when you add it to your cart and you will also see this message: Note: Requested quantity not available for some items at this time.
We offer over 8,500 items from thousands of publishers and manufacturers. On any given day, about 200 items go in or out of stock. So check back in a few days if you are unable to add an item to your cart.
When you are finished shopping, click the Checkout button. At this point you can enter a ship-to address, check your order, delete items, cancel your order, change the quantity of any item and check the final bill, including shipping and handling charges. Items will remain in your shopping cart indefinitely.
Before a credit card is approved, the address and zip code you enter are matched against the records of your credit card company. If they do not match, your order will not be accepted. If this happens, please enter your address and zip code exactly as they appear on your credit card statement. This is a new policy that went into effect at the request of the credit card companies to help prevent the unauthorized use of stolen credit cards.

Search Tips
Use the "Search" box on the left side of your screen to quickly locate an
individual item. Enter a word or words in the Search box. This will search on everything
in the Mall.
Just like a physical store, we provide you with a shopping cart. Browse the shops and aisles in the mall until you find the item you want to buy. When you are ready to make a purchase, simply click the button marked "Add to Cart." From there, you can begin the basic ordering process. The item will remain in your cart as you continue to shop, and you can always remove the item later if you change your mind. You are able to see your shopping cart's contents at any time by clicking the "Shopping Cart" button on the top right side of your screen.
To order two or more of the same item, simply change the "Quantity" number in your shopping cart and click the "Update Cart" button.
To remove an item from your shopping cart, click the "Remove Item" button immediately to the right of the item's description.
To start over with an empty shopping cart and delete all selections you made previously, click the "Empty Cart" button.
You can add items to your cart and then stop shopping. The items in your cart will remain there. You can easily come back at a later date and continue shopping right where you left off.

You can designate a ship-to address or have everything sent to your address of record. You may use a Visa or Master Card to pay for your purchases. There is a shipping charge of $5.45 plus $1 per pound ($2 per pound to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada). Shipments are sent via the US Post Office or UPS. Express shipping is available for some items for an additional $20 charge. Your credit card bill will show a purchase made from Online Nature Mall in Naples, Florida.
Web shopping sites like ours use "cookies" to enable shopping carts. Without them, you would have to complete a purchase before buying a second item. If you can only add one item to your cart at a time, you will need to change your computer settings to allow cookies.
Each item shows the retail price as well as your purchase price. Most books are sold at 10% discounts. Items like feeders, birdhouses and other items are sold at the retail price. Jewelry is sold below the manufacturer's suggested retail price.
Most items are in stock and available for immediate shipment. If you click the "Add to Cart" button for an item that is out of stock, a quantity of 0 will appear. The in-stock status of an item is updated daily. Approximately 200 items go in and out of stock each day -- so check back if the item you want is temporarily unavailable. If we unexpectedly run out of an item, you will be notified via e-mail. You may either cancel your order for that item or have us ship it to you at a later date at no additional charge.
Payment information
You may pay for your purchases using a Visa or Master Card. You will be asked to enter your credit card information after you click the "Checkout" button and after you have had an opportunity to review your order.
A 6% sales tax is charged for orders sent to Florida. Sales taxes are not charged for other locations.
You will receive an e-mail from us showing your invoice for all items you ordered. A copy of this invoice will also be used to pack your order.
Shipping
Shipping costs are based on the weight of your total order. There is a shipping charge of $5.45 plus $1 per pound ($2 per pound to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada). Weights are shown for each item, with a minimum weight of .3 pounds. Overnight shipping is available for a limited number of items. The cost is an additional $20.00
Your order will normally be sent by UPS or U.S. Priority Mail. Deliveries to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada may take up to 7 days or more to arrive. Some items such as bird feeders are not able to be sent to Canada.
At the moment, we are not able to ship to addresses outside the U.S. or Canada.
There are no handling charges.
Your Account
You may view your orders by clicking the "Shopping Cart" button on the top right side of the screen. This will show you the contents of your shopping cart -- even if you added items up to 30 days ago!

If you are having trouble with a product or need technical information, please call the manufacturer directly so that they can quickly help you. If you need to return a product to us because it was damaged upon arrival, we will replace it at no cost.

Mr. Thayer attended High School in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and is a 1971 graduate of the University of Wisconsin (BBA - Finance, Investments and Banking) and a 1973 graduate of the Harvard Business School (MBA - Finance). From 1973 to 1977, Mr. Thayer was a Trust investment officer a Union Planters National Bank, Memphis, Tennessee. From 1977 to 1995, Mr. Thayer was president of Gateway Investment Advisers, Cincinnati, Ohio and portfolio manager of the Gateway Fund (GATEX), a no-load mutual fund. He has been president of Thayer Birding Software since 1994. Mr. Thayer is an avid birder and has seen over 3,600 species on seven continents. He has written over 30 articles for various financial publications -- and one for Bird Watcher's Digest. Both Onlinenaturemall.com and Thayer Birding Software LLC are based in Naples, Florida.
